About Dr. Kalra

Dr. Kalra has been in the field of Hematology and Oncology since 1980. He has extensive experience in all fields of community practice of Hematology and Oncology. He obtained his training from one of the finest Institutions, Roswell Park Cancer Institute and State University of New York at Buffalo. In his professional career he has engaged in at least six hundred patient-encounters a month. After obtaining his Oncology board certification in 1985 he remains up-to-date in all subjects in this field. He has worked in institutions including UCLA and taught at USC. He is currently lecturing and supervising residents of Western University Department of Medicine. He is currently affiliated to Temecula Valley Hospital, Menifee Valley Hospital, Hemet Valley Hospital and Desert Regional Medical Center. He continues to strive for best care for his patients and adheres to principles of respect and compassion for all his patients.
Doctor Kalra is grateful to a growing understanding of human worth and human spirit that comes from meditation practices including  Vipassana meditation which began to practice in 1994. Practice of such meditation gives him understanding and acceptance of life as it is. This is conducive to wisdom, patience, kindness, compassion and respect for all living beings. Dr Kalra is married, he has 5 wonderful children and stepchildren, and three grandchildren.
